Use an Alternative User Interface (Windows NT/2000)

This setting allows you to specify an alternate shell to use as the Windows user interface instead of the default explorer shell.

1.Open your registry and find or create the key below.

2.Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called "Shell" and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Value Name : Shell
Data Type : REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data : Filename of Replacement Shell
