Specify the Response Time for Hung Applications (All Windows)

This setting controls the amount of time to wait for a response from a hung application before the system task manager automatically terminates the task.

1.Open your registry and find or create the key below.

2.Create a new String value, or modify the existing value, called "HungAppTimeout" and set it according to the value data below.

Exit your registry; you may need to restart or log out of Windows for the change to take effect.

Value Name : HungAppTimeout
Data Type : REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data : Time in milliseconds (1000 = 1 second)
